Gigi Bautista & Associates Inc. is a one-stop management company focused on Special Events Staging, Logistics Management and Consulting. Established 06 February 1997, the company is headquartered at the Penthouse of VGP Center (former Manila Bank Building) on Ayala Avenue, Makati City, Philippines. Husband and wife team, Manny and Gigi Bautista, puts together over 20 years of local and overseas advertising and hospitality experience under one roof.

 

Manny's exposure with multinational and local advertising agencies McCann Ericsson, Leo Burnett, Ad Planners BJK & E and J Romero & Associates provides marketing and creative edge. Gigi's local and overseas experience with deluxe hotels Mandarin Oriental Manila, the Shangri-La Properties in Beijing and Manila and Conrad International Hotel in Hong Kong provides logistics expertise that are instrumental in staging seamless events.

 

Together with their highly trained staff, the tandem delivers world-class service to a select group of clients who prefer to deal with the specialists who do the job.   • 1997

     

    February 1997

    GBA opens its doors to clients from its first office located at the PDCP Building on Paseo de Roxas, Makati City.

     

    GBA stages its 1st event, A Chinese New Year Festival for the Mandarin Oriental Manila, which generated a phenomenal 7000 attendees.

     

  • 1998

     

    November 1998

    GBA organises the elite Cuvee Dom Perignon Rosé Vintage 1988 Launch Party for Jardine Wines and Spirits and Moet en Chandon HK with Manila’s crème de la crème in attendance.

     

  • 1999

     

    June 1999

    GBA launches the 1st ever Bvlgari outlet in Manila at the exclusive 6750, with no less than the famed Nicola Bvlgari gracing the elegant occasion.

     

  • 2000

     

    January 2000

    GBA moves to its new headquarters located at the Lobby Level of Mandarin Oriental Manila on Makati Avenue, Makati City, it’s home-base to-date.

     

    September 2000

    GBA launches the biggest bridal fair ever staged in Manila for the Edsa Shangri-La Hotel, which attracted more than 4500 visitors, thereby setting the benchmark for successful bridal fairs in the country today.

     

    December 2000

    GBA partners with Mandarin Oriental Manila and friends in the special event industry to stage the 1st Dear Santa Christmas Fair for the benefit of the indigent children of Verlanie.

    June 2001

    GBA stages the 1st SanMig Light Urban Jungle Race, which spanned the busy streets of Manila for 24 hours.

     

    GBA launches the 1st ever Children’s Fair, Kiddie Karnival for Edsa Shangri-La Hotel, attracting more than 4500 visitors.

    GBA organises the 1st Charriol Asia Pacific Conference in Manila for Stores Specialists Inc. at the Makati Shangri-La Hotel.

    GBA orchestrates the final leg of the Philippine Stock Exchange Road Show which kicked-off in Hong Kong en route to Singapore and Manila.  High-technology simultaneous feeds of the trading floors of the Makati Stock Exchange and the Philippine Stock Exchange wowed the audience at the Rigodon Ballroom of The Peninsula Manila.

    GBA stages the 1st UBS Financial Outlook Conference by popular economist Dr Klaus Wellerschoff, which generated positive reviews from the Philippines’ captains of industries who came full force for the business event.

     

    January-February 2003

    GBA orchestrates the biggest UK Fortnight celebration ever staged in Manila for the British Council, with one-of-a-kind all-British activities staged simultaneously at strategic areas of the metropolis over a period of ten days.

     

    February 2003

    GBA conducts a launch campaign on the EURO for Manila’s business community as well as students of major universities in Manila for The Delegation of the European Commission to the Philippines.

     

    GBA launches the much-acclaimed Philippines’ First Ladies Portraits book, written by Spaniard Jose “Pepe” Rodiguez, which chronicled the outstanding works of his Filipina portraitist wife Lulu Coching Rodriguez, for the Rustia-Tantoco Foundation.

     

    April-May 2003

    GBA organises the enthronement of authentic laser reproductions of the Tilma of Our Lady of Guadalupe donated by the Mexican government to the Manila Cathedral and the Cebu Cathedral for Cemex Philippines.

    GBA introduces its electronic registration system with special tracking features at the Microsoft Developers Day event held at the Westin Philippine Plaza.

    GBA stages the biggest National Teachers Conference, A Tribute to Teachers, for the Bato Balani Foundation at the Philippine International Conference Centre, which was attended by over 6000 teachers from all over the country.

    GBA literally opens the year with a big bang with the stylish wedding event of popular Makati Mayor Jejomar Binay’s daughter Anne to businessman Don Alcantara.  Set in picturesque Tagaytay, it looked like a scene from an elegant movie oozing with old world charm and glamour.

    GBA moves to its new premises at the Penthouse of VGP Center, 6772 Ayala Avenue, Makati City, Philippines.

    GBA is tapped for its logistics expertise by ABS-CBN Foundation’s 10-10-10 Run for the Pasig River attended by over 116,000 runners, which earned the Guinness World Record for the largest foot race in the world.

    GBA launches the first Art Fair Philippines at The Link which attracted 5,000 visitors.

     

    Raffles and Fairmont Hotels Makati celebrates its launch in Manila through a grand opening party hosted by  Managing Director Tom Meyer and  graced by Raffles Hotels and Resorts President, Peter French, and Fairmont Hotels and Resorts President, Jennifer Fox.

A well-travelled and seasoned hotelier, Gigi took up hospitality courses at Cornell University in New York and specialised in Catering and Convention Services at various deluxe hotels in Asia like The Conrad International Hong Kong, Shangri-La's China World Beijing and the Mandarin Oriental Manila.

 

After spending 16 productive years in the hospitality industry, Gigi took a shift in her career and trained in special events management with Protocol International in Chicago, USA. In 1996, she returned to Manila and together with husband and business partner, Manny Bautista, opened Manila's first full service special events company, GBA Events Asia.

Manny honed his skills and knowledge in advertising during his employment with multinational and local ad agencies McCann Erickson, Leo-Burnett, Ad Planners BJK & E and J Romero & Associates. In-between business schedules, he conducted major advertising and marketing classes at Saint Scholastica's College in Manila.

 

After generating 19 years of advertising experience, Manny left the corporate world in 1996, and in tandem with wife and business partner, Gigi Bautista, laid down the ground works for Manila's first full service special events company, GBA Events Asia.
